About Lebanon, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Lebanon is situated in Marion County, Kentucky and has an estimated population of more than 6,300 residents. A home rule-class city, it is the seat of Marion County and lies in central Kentucky just southeast of the city of Louisville. Lebanon is best known for its Tractor Show and Ham Days Festival, both of which are held during the last weekend of September.

Established in 1814, the city was named after the Biblical Lebanon due to its great abundance of cedar trees. It was incorporated as a city in 1815, and became the county seat of its county in 1835. The city’s beauty and style, flourishing businesses and elegant homes gave it the reputation of being the Philadelphia of Kentucky.

The Lebanon branch of the Louisville & Nashville Railroad was completed in 1857, but the Civil War halted the growth of the town. During the Battle of Lebanon, a hotel, the railroad depot and many residencies were burned down. However, Lebanon rebounded after the war and soon became a trade center.  The city was also recognized as an entertainment hotspot in the 1950’s, 60’s and early 70’s with many nationally known acts appearing at major nightclubs.

As of today, Lebanon is a great place to live and call home as the city is thriving with community, education and economic success.  It has some of the newest real estate, low crime, a quality school system, and reasonable tax rates. The city also houses many historical attractions, including the Loretto Motherhouse, Penn’s Store (the oldest county stores in the US), Kentucky Classic ARTS, among various others.

The city also hosts the Heart of Kentucky Bluegrass Music Kickoff every year in January, with local groups and special guests perform old favorites. The Ham Days Festival is another prominent event that features a county ham breakfast, 2 parades, a carnival, food and craft booths, a Tractor Show and Car Show, lots of contests and games, and so much more!

Lebanon receives 49 inches of rainfall and 14 inches of snowfall per year. With the average high in the summer months about 88 degrees, having a good air conditioning system is essential to maintain comfort in your home. Moreover, since the mercury drops as low as 24 in the winter months, it’s highly recommended that you install a heat pump to keep your home heated throughout the day and night.
